Eligibility

To be eligible for funding in 2025:

• Students should be pursuing an undergraduate qualification in either the UK or Germany. They must be EU, UK or European citizens or current residents.

• Applicants must be over 18 at the time of commencement of their studies.

• A B1 level of English is required, as all correspondence will be undertaken in English. If study is in Germany a B1 level of  German is required.

• Eligible studies include university, college, apprenticeship, or vocational training.

•  Scholarships will be awarded with a maximum value of approximately €20,000/£16,000. 

• Funds can be used for tuition fees, accommodation support, and other expenses, including food, household bills, travel to and from the institution of study, study materials, tools, or other required items related to the chosen field. NB Funds will, in most cases, not  be directly distributed to the student.

• To be considered for the Boldt-Riney Scholarship, applicants must have applied to the relevant educational bodies for a start in 2025, achieved high marks/grades/scores in previous years, come from low-income households, and be able to demonstrate financial need.
